Salary: $15.00 /hour
The Shipping Technician will be required to learn product lines, part numbering system and department processes, confirming information and special requirements match on sales orders, job pick lists, purchase orders, packing slips, general labels, and/or customer literature, as well as learning, retrieving, and entering information on the companywide ERP system. Aspects of shipping duties include retrieval of finish goods from finish goods shelf to have all products needed to be shipped for customer orders, packaging the products according the package guidelines and product procedures, and entering the carrier shipping information in the carrier’s system (such as UPS, FedEx, DHL)
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school graduation, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Training and Experience Required: Must have basic shipping knowledge and have working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge Required: Requires good to considerable knowledge of computer usage, company product lines, part numbering system, and department processes.
- Abilities Required: Requires above average verbal, written, communication, time management, and organizational skills. Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations accurately, read company documents with ease and operate computers/keyboards competently. Should be able to learn quickly, begin and perform duties without direction, work both independently and collaboratively with others, anticipate implications of current activities for the broader scope of the business and execute specific job duties conscientiously and with minimum supervision. Must be able to prioritize and complete routine required tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
